马新咖啡茶业联合总会会长拿督何子孟披露,上述尚未开业的业者仍在观望目前局势,打算等待政府于6月9日宣布是否结束管制令后,才作决定。业者担心顾客一坐下来就是4到5个人,他们没办法控制,结果被执法单位对付,另一方面,他们又担心(控制顾客时)得罪顾客,因为这些都是他们的常客。”他说,业者为了避免两难的困境,因此目前还在等待政府作出全面开放的宣布。
拿督何子孟访问时指出在实施管制令后,生意量较之前差很多,即使开放堂食,基于社交距离所致,只能恢复40%生意量。“一开始(只能打包时)生意量是20%,开放堂食后恢复40%,因为咖啡店都有遵守标准作业程序和维持社交距离,顾客看到会安心,所以(生意量)慢慢增加。”他坦言,业者开放堂食时,为了维持社交距离,需改变桌椅排列和可容纳的顾客人数,因桌椅间距变大和可并桌的顾客人数变少,导致整体可容纳的顾客减少,生意难免受影响。他指出,毕竟国内还在管制令期间,虽然会员都逐步开店,生意量还是需要时间恢复,唯他相信业者只要遵循卫生部设下的标准作业程序,就会使顾客有信心光顾。
MSCSPGA President Dato’ Ho Su Mong said about 20% of the members are yet to open for business. They are adopting a wait & see attitude until June the 9th as they are not sure of the regulations and they do not wish to offend the customers. Ho further said business is not like before as customers are very cautious. Our members are taking all precautionary measures like providing sanitizer, maintain social distancing etc so as to keep the environment clean and safe for the customers.
